Mark Smith

Mark Smith has more than 26 years in broadcasting, working on some the most listened to radio stations in New Zealand.

From humble beginnings in Palmerston North at 2XS, heady days at Radio Hauraki, a sojourn in the south of France in Monaco, founding the way for FM radio in the '80s on Auckland’s Music Leader 89FM and presenting the only nationwide Top 40 show at the time via The Rock of the 90s, 91FM, Mark was been a foundation staff member of More FM, and a solid part of the award winning network for almost 12 years. Winning New Zealand Radio Awards - Station Of The Year six times while Mark was daytime host and music director, Mark is the Breakfast Guy on Coromandel FM.

Mark has interviewed hundreds of international musicians and celebrities, with many wonderful stories to tell. He has hosted a variety of live events, from breakfast debates with politicians, to award ceremonies, bikini competitions and live TV beauty shows.

As a voiceover artist, Mark is experienced, professional, versatile and efficient. He has been a contracted voice for TVNZ, Sky Sport, The Living Channel, Greenstone Productions, and Prime TV. With a resume of clients, both TV and radio, that has included Telecom, Vodafone, Harvey Norman, Hill and Stewart, Levers household products, SkyCity, Line 7 and more and more, Mark is a wonderful personality, understated, friendly and a fantastic MC.
