A recipient of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours, Adam is highly-regarded in both league and community circles alike.

At just 16 years old, a young Whangarei-born Adam was head hunted and recruited by the Melbourne Storm team, before moving on to represent New Zealand as vice-captain for the Kiwis.

From there, it was back across The Ditch, where he was offered a contract playing for the Wests Tigers, then the Brisbane Bronocs, before returning to NZ to play for the Warriors in 2018.

Early in 2019 the 32-year-old veteran was named as captain of the Māori All-Stars.

Adam lives in Auckland with his wife Jess, and their two sons Taika and Harlem.
