Wallace Chapman is a broadcaster on TV and Radio, and a public speaker.
Since 2008 Chapman has hosted the one of a kind ‘pub politics show’ Back Benches (now on PRIME TV), debating with MPs at ‘The Back Bencher’ in Wellington before a live audience. Back Benches has been described as the ‘Top Gear of Politics’ by The NZ Herald – the sort of show you can enjoy without being a politics geek.
He also hosts a current affairs show on Radio New Zealand: Sunday Mornings with Wallace Chapman – talking with the newsmakers and opinion leaders about the weeks burning issues. He was previously hosting a Sunday Morning show on Radio Live.
In the last two years Chapman has been in demand as an event host and public speaker. “Businesses see the way that Back Benches is moderated, and go, well we want that sort of accessible but information-rich forum at our event,” says Chapman.
He has moderated panels and business breakfasts recently for clients including The Localist/NZPost, Astra Zeneca, Chivas Regal, and Atlantis Healthcare.
He also appears each week on the ever-popular men’s panel, each Monday on Good Morning TVONE
In June this year, Wallace’s first book came out on Penguin called ‘ Don’t just Do something sit there – a manifesto for the slow life’ – a part historical / part DIY book on the slow living movement.
