Robert Scott first made his presence felt on the nation’s airwaves in January 1985, broadcasting at hometown [Palmerston North] radio station 2XS. Auckland was always his goal, and by 1992 he was hosting the drive show on the country’s most listened to music station, 91FM. The same year he scored the co-presenting role on TV3's children's show 'Yahoo'. The next few years were made up of roles with ZM, and the breakfast show on Classic Hits.
In 1999, he took up an offer to work in the UK, hosting breakfast on 2-Ten FM in Reading. By 2001, (and now with a young family) Robert was back in Auckland, with roles on More FM and the Solid Gold network simultaneously. 2006 saw the launch of 'The Breeze', and he was teamed with Robert Rakete and Anna Thomas (the Two Robbies). In under three years, the station became Auckland's most listened to easy listening station. In 2015, Robert moved to hosting the Breeze drive show, networked across New Zealand.
Along the way Robert has won multiple New Zealand and International radio awards - including back to back wins at the prestigious New York Festivals. Robert is a household voice throughout New Zealand, and is an accomplished and experienced voice artist and MC. He also a Promo Voice for TV3 Children's shows - 1992-3, Air New Zealand in-flight music show 'Chartline' 1993-99, Game Show voice over -'Love at First Sight'- TVNZ 1995, Air New Zealand Domestic radio spots (1996-98), Best Buys TVC's 2006-2010 and recently narrated for the 100 Day Batch’Choice TV .
Robert also moonlights as guitarist and backing vocalist for ‘Shane Cortese and the 8 track band” featuring actor/entertainer Shane Cortese, and some of the country’s top musicians, specializing in the best Kiwi and Aussie rock from the 70’s and 80’s.
