Jay Reeve is one of NZ's most popular and irreverant multi-media broadcasters having hosted NZ's number one drive show on ZM with Flynny until early 2015 when he made the shift to Radio Hauraki Breakfast .
Originally a teacher from Tauranga Boys' College he cut his teeth MCing live events at Mount Maunganui over the New Year holidays and commentating the Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour in which he was also competing. As a professional surfer Jay consistently placed inside the top ten for the last five years of his surfing career and took fourth place at the National Surfing Championships in 2010 in the Stand Up Paddle surfing division.
From 2009-2011 Jay caused havoc all across the globe as VJ for MTV - running amok in countries such as Germany, England, Tahiti, Australia - and of course every square centimeter of Gods own. MTV closed the New Zealand arm of it’s operation in late 2011 but Jay has remained a part of the MTV family and hosted the MTV Classic in Sydney, Australia.
He has a great interest in photography (and his brightly coloured Holga 120 camera) and in more recent times has developed a love of cafe racer motorbikes and spends what little spare time he has restoring classic motorbikes.
Jay is a prolific Social Media Influencer with almost 16000 twitter followers and has been a brand Ambassador to some of the world’s leading brands. Now married to model Anna Fitzpatrick he has twin baby boys and lives in Auckland. When asked to describe himself he says 'I'm the kind of guy you would invite to your wedding after meeting me once, and then wouldn't be surprised if I ran through the reception nude'.
